Welcome to the Biomembrane Engineering page at the University of Georgia in the College of Engineering!

The focus of this lab is on the development and characterization of biomimicking membranes (both lipid and polymer) and examining their applications towards engineering research.

Current topics include the development of a cellular-mimicking material, characterizing the interactions between nanoparticles and cellular membranes in aqueous environments, drug delivery through stimuli-responsive liposomes and polymersomes, coupled bacteria-liposome interactions, controlled release applications, and ferrofluid manipulation.  For more information, please visit our Research page.
